Unfortunately, we can’t guarantee approval of every emergency loan application. As a responsible lender, we need to be sure the loan is right for the borrower. Can I apply for an emergency cash loan if I’m unemployed?

Most permanent New Zealand residents are eligible. But you need to be at least 18 years old, have a regular paid income, a bank account, ID, a mobile number and email.

Do you do credit checks?
As a responsible lender, we carry out credit checks on all customers. And this is a good thing – it helps protect you and us. It also helps us verify who you are and understand more about your financial situation. However, recent transactions on your bank statements are more important to us than a credit score based in the past. This Is why you will be asked for bank statements for the last 3 months. But don’t fret or try to find your latest statement. We use a secure third-party provider to send us your bank statements – simply use the link on our application form.
How do I make repayments of emergency loans?
Repayments couldn’t be easier. During the application process you consent to making repayments by direct debit from your bank account on the same day as you are paid. The payments can be weekly, fortnightly or monthly. We try to make sure the regular payment amounts are manageable and won’t put you under any financial strain. So, there’s no need to remember to make payments, they happen automatically until your loan is paid off.
